"I'm so excited doing The Brady Bunch again, and this time we're going a completely different way," said pretty Maureen McCormick.

"I'll tell you one thing," she said smiling, "at first I had many questions. I didn't know if the new show was going to be on the air and if we were all going to stay the same age...you know what I'm saying. Fans don't realize that we also get older. They remember us as kids and expect us to stay that way. But it's turned into a fun variety show with a lot of singing and dancing. It's going along great."

"It's also terrific seeing all the kids again. It's been three years since we all went our separate ways. I was considering two other series when the idea of re-teaming with The Brady Bunch came along. I'm happy I chose the show I did, because there are a great deal of opportunities going for me. I can show off my dancing, singing, and acting. It's fun and I'm having a ball."

Maureen, who will be 21 on August 5th, talks openly about her career and personal life. "Right now I'm in love," she said with a gleam in her bright blue eyes. "I've been dating Chris Mancini, Henry's son, and he's the greatest. He's a musician who writes and composes his own songs. We've been dating for about six months now, but he certainly has it all together. He knows everything. He's the quiet type but when he does say something, you can be sure he's right on."

"I owe it all to my friends," she continued. "My friends were in this musical group and Chris was one of them. They thought we would hit it off so they arranged a meeting. Well, we've been inseparable ever since. Chris is the smartest 26 year old I've ever met."

"Chris has been good for me. He's into health food and because of him, I am also. We don't eat meat since it makes us feel heavy. I get a funny feeling if I do eat meat. I feel terrible. We eat a great deal of chicken, and I think I look and feel better because of it. Besides, it's much more healthy for you."

"I don't care how hard I'm working on the show right now, because when I know that I'll be with Chris that evening, everything seems worthwhile. Everyone says that I've changed a great deal since I've met him, and you know something funny- I have to agree."

"While the pace on The Brady Bunch is very fast with the kids shooting eight shows, it seems as though they are working around the clock. "I'm not complaining about it," Maureen said. "I'm loving every minute of it. I've been quite busy even before returning to The Brady Bunch. I did Happy Days, Marcus Welby, Harry O, Joe Forrester, and Delvecchio guest shots and two movies. One movie is called Shine and the other is The Pony Express Ride. They should be released soon."

As busy as Maureen is with the show and her numerous guest appearances, she is finding time for her real love- music. "I love to write music and adore writing poems. I haven't published any poetry yet, but wait, I will. What I really want to do is come out with some of my own songs. I don't know how to read music yet, but I'm learning that next."

When we told Maureen she would be a natural for guitar in one hand and mike in the other she laughed saying, "I do play the guitar. When I was really young I began to play. I haven't had any lessons for quite a while, but that comes next. I expect to be doing an awful lot in the future. I want to do everything well, and when I put my mind to something I do it just that way."

As busy as Maureen is these days, she manages to find time for snow skiing. "I love any kind of sports- tennis, water skiing, swimming, horseback riding- you name it, I'll try it. Chris enjoys sports as well, so it's really fun. Don't you think two can have more fun than one?" she asked winking.

"As soon as the show is finished I'm going to Hawaii. I just bought a condominium on Maui and I'm really looking forward to getting away to relax."
