ONE THING the Brady girls have in common is a love of singing! Maureen said some people resent them because they're young and on TV making money, but "The most important thing is making people happy!"
You already know that Maureen, Geri, and Susan are pretty and talented, with bubbly and bright personalities, too. But there's lots more to find out about them, and we've got all the information right here in TB Star!
The oldest of the "Brady" girls is played by the lovely Maureen McCormick. If you were a regular viewer of the original "Brady Bunch" (but haven't tuned into the new version yet), you'll be pleasantly surprised at the change in Maureen. She's all grown up!
Well, physically she's still petite (about 5'3" and 100 lbs.), but there are definite signs of womanhood in her voice, her walk, and her gestures. In fact, Maureen will become a full-fledged adult in just a few short months when she celebrates her 21st birthday August 5!
Working on a weekly variety series keeps all the "Brady" girls busy, but whenever she can find the time, Maureen likes to practice her guitar playing, write poetry and music, sing, dance or snow and water ski. Maureen believes in plenty of exercise to stay healthy and also eats only the freshest, most natural foods. She's especially fond of fruits vegetables and nuts.
Some of Maureen's favorites include the colors blue, lavender, and green, Stevie Wonder, the Bee Gees, Dustin Hoffman, and Katherine Hepburn. Maureen loves working on the show but would eventually like to do more dramatic parts in TV and films and record her own songs!
The "Middle" Sister
Although
she wasn't a member of the original "Brady Bunch" series, Geri Reischl
is definitely "one of the family" now! She's a very special girl,
sweet and unspoiled, and everyone on the show is taken with her charming
personality/ For such a small girl (5'1", 96 lbs)), Geri has loads of
energy and loves to "burn it up" playing tennis and volleyball or bike
riding.
All that exercise lets her enjoy her favorite foods, like ice cream (chocolate), cheese cake and shrimp, without worrying about her weight. Geri's fond of the colors blue, beige and rust and visiting Las Vegas. Her favorite musical groups are the Eagles and Chicago while Robert Redford and Barbara Streisand are her favorite stars. At home, Geri loves to spend time with her Toy Yorkshire Terrier, Mende, and is looking forward to a career as a recording artist. Her dream is to sing at the "Grande Ol' Opry" in Nashville, Tennessee.
Animal Lover
The youngest "Brady" girl, Susan Olsen, is one of the all-time great animal lovers! She has three dogs - Rontu, Angela and Buddy, and a tortoise names Jumbo! They keep Susan busy with daily grooming, feeding, and, of course, play-time!
Pretty Susan (who stands 5'2" and weighs 110 lbs.) is also quite an accomplished "horsewoman." She loves to jump horses and ride them through an obstacle course of fences and hedges and ponds- great exercise! Swimming is another of Susan's pastimes, as well as guitar playing.
Her favorite color is pink and some favorite foods include cookies, vegetables, chicken, and ginger beer. Susan can spend hours listening to her favorite group, Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, and enjoys the acting abilities of George Segal, Nick Nolte, and Elizabeth Taylor. Susan is hoping for a happy and successful future as an actress and musician.
